Tatum was definitely better than Butler in the playoffs, and better in the Heat vs Celtics series too

Clutch? Tatum was clutch as FUCK all playoffs

The fuck you doing answering this like 2 months later rofl

And Tatum wasn't that clutch the man literally disappeared and didn't get a bucket multiple games in the 4th quarter against Miami. Straight up vanishing act.

Only need a center to match up with 2 players in the NBA, Embiid and Jokic. Celtics have 2 guys. Good enough
Any other body coming in to bang with them is either going to be GARBAGE outside of paint defensively and or completely useless on offense, so I'm ok with 2 bigs
Random big for depth obviously needed for reg season but I have no problem at all with the MURDER HORNET

Grant Williams isn't big depth. He's 6'6 with a 20 inch vert. Doesn't defend the paint or rebound. NOTHING big about Grant Williams
He can stay in front of almost anyone though and is a pretty elite set shooter from 3. Great 2 way player.
But let's not forget this guy was basically out of the rotation when the playoffs started.....They were already moving on from him...just hurts your team too much rebounding wise when he's at the 4
Barely played vs Hawks and 76ers but played a ton vs the Heat but ONLY because Brogdon was DONE

Just saw Denver win the title with 1 player off the bench

I'm not going to worry about depth lmfao

I doubt that. Your essentially saying because of timelord gone they r the worst iteration? Do you rank and value him THAT much?

the year Smart won DPOY the metrics favored Timelord defensive impact

Horford is 37 and will be 38 for the seasons playoff push, the Celtics need another big to load manage him for sure. If they do run Horford all season he is gonna suck in the playoffs.

Last year it was all “what if” Timelord reached his ceiling, he’s a really good player but now that’s a project for Portland to work with him. I think the Celtics will regret this trade down the line, they gave up a lot for Jrue. The Bucks were criticized for 3 FRP and swaps when they got Jrue, the Celtics just gave up 2 FRP, Brogdon, and Timelord. Not a win for Boston IMO, it makes sense that they want to fill the void left by trading away Smart tho.

2nd rounders don't matter much but they came out with +2 from Grant Williams

Smart, Gallo, Muscala + 2023 2nd = Porzingis, 1st 2023 Grizz, 1st 2024 Warriors (top 4 protect)......2x 1sts for Marcus Smart

1st acquired from Smart + Brogdon + Timelord = Jrue

They gave up their 2029 1st + Warriors 2024 1st(from Smart) to replace Smart....

Smart + Brogdon + Timelord + Gallo + Muscala + Celtics 2029 first
=
Porzingis + Jrue

Fine if you don't believe it's a W but it's never a loss

It’s good if KP can play consistently and defends the rim at a high level/scores efficiently for the Cs. I’m doubtful he ticks at least 2/3 of those items.
