still have hope.
hope for our coach.
hope for our pick.
perhaps we can even snag KLove with it.
Lakers one of five possible destinations (warriors, celtics, knicks, bulls I believe are the other 4).
we have one thing those guys cannot offer (except maybe celtics?) and that is being able to relieve the twolves cap space.

lakers have pulled out some crazy shit before. anything can happen i suppose.

when dr buss ran the lakers yes, greatest owner in sports history.
nothing ridiculous will ever happen with jim buss running anything.

I just can't see us keeping that pick. No way any player worth mentioning falls to 7th, and we want to contend this upcoming season. We want to sign a big guy this summer and go for it in 14/15. Had we gotten a top 3 one, sure, but we're not going to take it slow.

We don't have anything to trade for love. There aren't that many good big this off season either unless you consider bosh one

Vonleh isn't athletic.

Well he's no Anthony Davis by any means but he's a fairly athletic big in my opinion..

Defensively, he's extremely lengthily and attacks the glass.
Offensively, he has a great inside-out game and can even hit three's.. Decent ball handler for his size and can even drive to the hoop due to his quick first step.

If we deal the pick, I hope it's for KLove. Just don't know what other assets the Lakers can toss in to sweeten the deal lol

So far we've interviewed Mike Dunleavy, Byron Scott and are set to interview Lionel Hollins, Alvin Gentry.
Others Lakers are rumored to reach out to are Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, Derek Fisher, George Karl and Kurt Rambis.
Safe to say no NCAA coach is relevant any longer with Ollie being offered more money and Calipari never leaving Kentucky.

Out of the first four, which one would you guys want? (Dunleavy, Scott, Hollins and Gentry)
Include the next five, which one would you guys want? (Above plus Van Gundy, Jackson, Fisher, Karl and Rambis)

Lot of laker fans want scott. I don't mind him but I prefer Hollins. Definitely don't want Dunleavy or Alvin though.

Of the other 5, JVG. Although I'm not sure if he can control Kobe. I'd also be fine with Karl but he's only proven to just get to the first round only. Don't want mark Jackson or rambis. Fisher is... Whatevers, prefer we choose someone else.

There isn't anyone that I really want though above all the others.

Karl and the Jazz went far in 08, but we stopped them. Karl is a great coach.
Here's how I would rank them in terms of who I want

JVG, Karl, Hollins, Scott, Jackson, Dunleavy, Fisher, Gentry, Rambis.

JVG seems really unlikely as he probably loves his job at ESPN. Him and Breen gets all the great games and I am not sure we could lure him away.
