You keep saying this but idk how. Stevens even came out and said his injury wasn’t the concern everyone’s making it out to be. Maybe Stevens is inclined to say this to try save trade value, but let’s look at it realistically…. It’s just elbow tendons. You’re making out like it’s a torn Achilles. When was the last time any arm injury de-railed a players career? I can’t think of any really.
You’re just hoping our situation is doom and gloom. But the facts are we still have the best young duo in the league who are committed long term, and we just added a LEGIT big man, who can stretch the floor or dominate pick and pop situations and also protect the rim. His combination with Rob is going to help immensely. I love Marcus, but he was surplus to our needs and Derrick White proved he was the better starting player. Smart off the bench is just a waste.
Celtics aren't even better than they were last season lol
They lost depth, Brogdon has to go otherwise they literally are already at the cap with just 7 guys. Half of them are injury prone as fuck too. The whole Brogdon thing is pretty bad, Celtics can't trade him right now and he has a bad injury in his shooting elbow. You'll never have him healthy come playoff time hrs always injured (inb4Irony).
I cant wait to see Porzingis get mad because he's not being featured. He does not accept a role as a 3rd or 4th guy. He wants to get his touches and shots especially in a contract year. Good luck getting that with two ball dominant players in JT and JB. Celtics moving Smart was not the original plan, but they scrambled to get Porzingis and had to give up a player that they did not originally intend to move at that point.
Bucks and 76ers fans are looking at this like it's a good thing. Celtics are less intimidating than they were that's for sure. You lost toughness with Smart and gained even more softness with Porzginis to pair up with two softies in Tatum and Brown.
