Probably the ugliest game of the season
Mazulla benched Tatum and Brown with 4 min left in the 1st
I don't believe he has ever done that before, but it did give Brogdon a lot of room to operate with the 2nd unit
Wouldn't mind seeing a little more of that going forward if they can get an early 2-3 bucket cushion before the bench checks in
The team 3% is a little concerning. WEEI was talking about how they've been around 25th? over the last 3 months in that category. Still finding ways to keep winning though....hopefully that reverts a little back to normal soon
Up to 4th in defense at least. That's with Rob only playing 28 games and limited at that
Just have to hope he'll be ready for playoffs because imo it's pretty clear they are still #1 defensively IF healthy
I mean...Celtics are 13-10 since January 23rd. How often are they really finding ways to win? lol
4-5 over their last 9 games.
And as you mentioned, looking at their offensive efficiency over the past few months they're not even middle of the pack. They're in the bottom half.
They're too heavily reliant on threes, and their absurd early season 3pt% which was unsustainable has come crashing down to earth. Tatum has regressed considerably from earlier this season and is incredibly inconsistent, Smart isn't the same player he was last year, Rob can't stay healthy and is unreliable, Horford is 58 years old, and Brown is your best player. Celtics have good bench depth, but that doesn't matter when you lack the killers at the top of the roster who just jack threes praying for success.
