Honestly though, fuck this season. So many injuries just puts a huge damper on everything.

Still looking forward to the Miami match up on Christmas but they'll probably get run out of the building lol...

Little bit of long-term speculation (ignorant as shit but whatever):

-- They'll find some decent free agent to compliment Pau Gasol, who'll probably be retained.
-- A lot of the guys they have now like Kaman and some others will be gone, they'll ideally be able to get some younger role players and develop them.
-- Steve Nash obviously will be gone, dude has not done a whole lot since coming to L.A., sad to see him at his current level.
-- Current coach will probably be fired. They'll have a better shot, imo, at pursuing quality defensive players and playing a Chicago-esque style where they are stingy on points, this could keep them in games without needing a lot of star power, which they might not be able to get for a few years.

For now I enjoy watching them to see if maybe one of these guys can emerge into a very good player for the Lakers but it's ugly right now. Nice having a bench though.

Send Pau Gasol our way on February 20. By then the Lakers should be out of the playoff race.

I would hate that team a little less but don't see it happening.

Who would Houston have to offer, anyway?

Maybe Omer Asik, fillers. etc... etc... With 1.5 months left in the season wouldn't the Lakers try to get some value when Pau Gasol will leave in free agency anyways? I suppose they could always try and work a sign-and-trade during the summertime. Do people think Gasol is going to re-sign there?

I think he will. Course they did try to ship his ass before and he might resent them for it, lol, that and perhaps the opportunity to jump on a contender might persuade him to leave.
