Honestly, when you pull a gun you pull it ready to kill and you go for center mass. Same goes for citizens. If you pull your weapon, you're pulling it to kill out of self defense to immobilize that target at whatever cost to them. This is why you never pull your weapon unless your life is actually in danger. In this case the cop really didn't need to pull the gun UNLESS we find out there were weapons or a gun then it's a different story.

If there was a gun in the vehicle, then the cop was justified in shooting him. I mean unloading half the clip into his back at point blank range is excessive for sure, but if there was a weapon involved on the other side then it's justified. The guy apparently had a warrant out for rape charges, and had prior violent charges in his past including weapons charges so let's not be surprised if he did have something on him.

Gotta let the investigation go through in full and see what is found.

Taser is not a viable option when someone they're trying to detain has a deadly weapon. Tasers do not always work, and in many cases if the person they're trying to taser is on drugs it won't do shit to them.

Apparently one of the cops tried to use a taser and it didn't work in this case, but idk why the others wouldn't try as well.

From what i understand there was a gun and knife in his car. There is a lot of misinformation out there though, so i cant say for sure that this was the case or not.
