Celtics C Robert Williams has suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee and will minimally miss several weeks. Further evaluation today will help provide a timetable.

Happens every year so this isn't news for us Celtics fans

Hopefully he only misses 1 round max....

That's now 6 years? in a row that we suffer a major injury for the playoffs

Rob can either sit 4-6 weeks and hope the procedure works OR surgery and out for playoffs

Not over yet though. The same can happen to anyone else and we can have a Suns/Bucks run.

Rob is literally the reason our interior defense is so strong, purely because of his weakside help blocking presence. Easily our second most important player behind Tatum. Just about anyone else on the team other than them 2 (and maybe Smart) is somewhat replaceable.

Huge loss. Hopefully scans today reveal that it’s only minor.

Better hope you avoid Brooklyn round 1. Although their really isn't any easy matchups round 1 in the East this year

Yeah nets suddenly become even scarier without rob. But if he’s going to miss a series, then it’s probably the nets out of anyone you’d want him to miss, since the majority of their scoring does come from the outside. If we missed him against giannis, embiid or adebayo it wouldn’t be good at all.

gratz on 1st place in da EAST. still won't matter come playoff time, last 2 Finals had Miami and Bucks in them, Bucks da current Champs. and the Suns on a Mission for the trophy. Ultimately sixers and celtics suck!

Utah is underrated, Dallas can lite up anyone, Denver is good, GS is trash. ATL could sneak in as the 8th seed and one in done this trash Boston team!
