Gold log doesn't help your case at all.

Let's play it out with an example from the perspective of someone looking to bilk the system:

6:54pm: Post a bet for Wizards ATS
7:05pm: Game starts
7:21pm: Wizards are immediately down double-digits. Bet is looking bad.
7:22pm: Edit out Wizards ATS bet. Put in Portland ATS (because it hasn't started yet).
7:23pm: Send gold log labeled "Portland ATS Max" to make it seem like I never bet on the Wizards.

Now, look at this from my perspective: do I know that you didn't do this? The answer is no. This is why I have zero tolerance on edits after a wave of games have started: it's too easy to cheat.

Terps has a set of rules in place and those rules apply to everyone not just you. Terps in more than fair with the way he runs his book, if you don't like it just don't bet here

He’s taking 20+ bets a day and the rules are posted on the first page. Nobody feels sorry for you.

I think he was just owning up to his mistake.

This being said, Would it help his case had he sent at 6:54 like his post indicates? Does team on gold log bet > posted bet?

I would have more readily chalked it up as a mistake, but in theory an unscrupulous bettor could label any 8pm game in the log with this plan in mind, and then if the bet looks good, just say "I accidentally said x in the gold log when I meant y"
