So a train driver?

How'd you go getting into it? This is the second time I've applied.. Its a sought after and well paying job here.

Just applied for it and got called for Metro north and Lirr at the same time.

LIRR paid $44 an hour without a yearly progression so i went to top pay here.

Obvious choice was them. The work rules are crazy

But let me stop before people start asking me for my w2 and monthly income

Nice man, I never knew. I've done a little research, and it seems the average income for train drivers or 'engineers' in the States is a lot less than here... Being 50k usd. The average here would be around $100k aud (90k usd) and up to 250k aud in some states. Not sure why the difference is so extreme.

Anyway, I'll be sure to chat to you in the future about it no doubt :)

Have fun

Very rewarding business my man.

No social security we get railroad retirement

Last year i made upwards of 200k but i was hustling. This year so far iv'e kind of slacked off a bit and wanted more family time so i haven't been working relief days and haven't been doubling up.

But working on the tracks is probably the best kept secret in america

44 an hour is pretty much 90-100k.
