I don't like the guy but he deserves some credit for this success. He somehow managed to build a contender through the draft and even made some really smart moves at the deadline. I was hoping for Lou Williams and he ended up doing even better imo.


If we get the first seed I think Wall is a lock for MVP. Even with the insane seasons some players are having. Look at Rose's mvp. He wasn't the best player nor did he have the best stats. Same situation as Wall.

Wall is still pretty underrated when its clear hes the best PG in the East and has probably moved up to top 3 in the league.

He's having a CP3 ~ 2007-2009 type season

Underrated, yeah. He's better than i gave him credit for, admittedly.

I wouldn't say he's quite on a CP3 2007-2009 level. Cp3 was a much more efficient shooter and passer, percentage wise and assist:to wise. I'd be curious to see their defensive metrics respectively.

Don't take it as a knock though, because being a notch below 2007-09 cp3 is not an insult. Wall is a lot better than I thought he was.

Cp3 is and was definitely a better shooter. Cp3 is in my opinion the prototypical PG. He is the best and most rounded pg I've ever seen. Wall isn't as good in some area and doesn't really have a perfectly complete game. He makes up for it with elite athleticism etc but he will never be as good as cp3 sadly because of his jumper. He's also more careless with the ball but cp3 is goat so that's not a huge knock.

Yep. cp3 is just so efficient both passing wise and with his shot selection. he can run an offense so well. aside from the statistics, he's simply a good floor general and his defense is really good as well. he just knows how to pick his spots exceptionally well.

Wall has improved a lot as a pro player. I thought he was such a raw prospect coming out. He played at such a quick pace and seemed out of control a lot of times. But he's grown and i feel like he's learning to harness his own skillset. when he tries to play traditional half court offense he kind of seems out of his element sometimes.

He's not as bad in the half court as he use to be. He's definitely gotten alot better with his decision making and shooting. He's imrpoved his shot so much that teams can't really go below screens vs him now, which frees up alot of shots for teammates because helping vs Wall is going to lead to an open 3 or a layup for a teammate. It's funny how Beal being healthy and in the lineup has probably upped his average assists per game 1-2 (as opposed to having Garret Temple instead).

Wall has also gotten a lot more clutch this season. There have been so many games where he singlehandedly brings the Wizards back into seemingly lost games.
