This season is a wash.
I should've believed Stevens when asked about this team on their 8-2 start that it was just an okay team.
This is my strategy - also I'm not missing games, just because our team sucks...
That's the definition of spoiled, which is my point. I'm not firing shots at you guys, I was just heated at the moment of that post. But one losing season, and y'all wanna fire Stevens? Lol, come on now.
Other than Walker, Smart, Jays, and Theis virtually none of those players are getting minutes on contenders. We're giving Semi 18 MPG, Teague is starting occasionally.. That's a shit show.
Rest of season strategy:
Trade Theis, reduce the Jays minutes/give Brown some rest. His knee is definitely bothering him. Not as explosive, plus you can tell he's super gassed.
Also for those shitting on Jayson Tatum - just remember the dude got COVID. A lot of athletes have reported fatigue, and some have even said it took 6 months to even feel right. Plus this season is so weird, too many b2b's, they practiced like 3 times the entire season, no SL, and not enough time to recuperate/condensed season.
Boost Kemba's trade value - I think ORL/Knicks may opt to give him a shot, (Clifford still loves him,) if they miss out on Lonzo.
Throw minutes to Rob, Pritchard, Grant, Nesmith, and Romeo. Find out who is going to ball and who is going overseas, I don't give a flying fuck if we lose games. I just want us to PICK A DIRECTION!
If you decide to push the chips in, go all in. If not stay patient - hope some disgruntled star wants to leave.
Have a fresh Tatum and Brown next season. I really don't give a shit about making the playoffs. It sucks, but so what? The Jays have proven that they can play in the playoffs, and loads of experience.
Give Nesmith fucking minutes. If he's cut, then so be it. But we drafted him for a reason. Let's see what he got.
