DM is right that the Celtics choked. -500 favorites going into the ECF and favorites to win the ring literally all year long.

Brogdon being hurt was unfortunate timing but at the same time the Celtics were very lucky that he didn't miss any other time this year because he is well known for missing 25-30% of seasons for years now, ditto for Timelord, ditto for Horfords effectiveness... all these things were pretty much expected from the jump

the Celtics need another playmaker as insurance for Brogdon being injured, he has a degenerative foot so it will pretty much always be a given that he will miss time during the season and postseason

the Celtics need another effective big as insurance for Horford gassing out and Timelord never being fully healthy

Joe is probably fine long term as HC, but the Udoka timing was poor because they could have gone with a better promotion. It is what it is at this point, let Joe gain his experience with this group, probably best to stick with him for at least 2 more seasons and see how it goes

the most difficult decision that will make or break this teams Championship aspirations is how they handle Brown, they are in danger of him walking and ending up empty handed

The Celtics choked. But Tatum didn’t.

It’s funny how he continues to call Tatum overrated, despite Tatum being rated less than Embiid, however continues to outperform him in every single post season. The gap between Tatum and Embiid this post season isn’t even measurable. It was adorable watching Embiid trying to guard Tatum.

That shows me who’s overrated.

Funny how Tatum gets no blame when they lose...yet all you do is brag about how he's winning when the Celtics win and that's all that matters....

He's the teams best player, right? Take credit when they win, and fault when they lose. He came up small in the 4th all series. He choked.

I swear you're a Tatum fan and not a Celtics fan lol

It's 2023. Yes, you need to be able to shoot.

Asking someone to be like Shaq in 2023, the era of space and pace, is silly lol

Of course nobody was criticizing Shaq years ago for not being able to shoot. That was accepted because big men didn't shoot back then and the game was played inside-out. Hell, most of the players on the court didn't shoot and spacing was horrible. The game is SO much more advanced now and it's played outside-in.

And yet the Bucks won a ring with Giannis playing as a 5 after everyone thought he had a season ending injury

Congrats to Embiid shooting 3s that have led to 0 conference Finals appearances

In a parallel universe you have Kim and DM arguing about Tatum only the roles are reversed because the Sixers actually drafted Tatum first.

Wonder what that would look like.

Giannis playing as a 5?? Brook Lopez played around 30 minutes per game in the playoffs that year during the Bucks Championship run...

And with Embiid it's not even about shooting threes. He shot the fewest threes per game this past season (3.0 3PA per game) and won MVP lol. It's more a combination of a threat as a 3pt shooter, combined with his bread and butter in the mid-range game and facing up. Embiid purposely worked in the FT line elbow area because it's harder to double there, compared to working the block as much (like previous seasons) where it's much easier to trap and double.

Giannis is incredible in transition and at the rim, but he definitely lacks in terms of creating his own shot or spacing the floor. Still an amazing player no doubt, but he's easier to defend because of these flaws.

76ers never had a shot at Tatum. Idk how many times people need to have this convo.... Ainge never gives up that #1 pick if he wasn't 10000% sure the Sixers were taking someone else. The Celtics had Tatum locked in from the jump, he was going to Boston no matter what. It's that simple.
