On this particular issue, im leaning towards Family Guy and Giannis. While he doesnt deserve to die (nobody is saying he does and he didnt, at least not yet) when you dont obey law enforcement there are consequences. And unfortunately, maybe the officers took it too far, but if he just wouldve listened he wouldnt be paralyzed in the hospital right now.
Truth. I just honestly think officers give out the death penalty a little too much when there is no coming back from that. We need real in shape officers that can subdue people & act as peace officers most of the time with DEESCALATION.
But America is in a unique situation because we are the most armed population in the world so it’s very dangerous of cops out there. Like Japans Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto said, “there is a rifle behind every blade of grass.“ (In the United States)
All in all, cops need drastically more accountability & not just paper complaints that get collected, ive supported a federal department to oversea and audit all police stations, (we do it for banks consistently & yearly we can do it for police) & higher pay to attract more talent.
I am a big supporter of, “leave me the fuck alone if you don’t have any reasonable reason to stop or even talk to me” when it comes to police but all my interactions with police have been very quick & I limit my words period. I think most police officers are more altruistic & braver than your average citizen, but again, defending the bad ones causes the huge mistrust. If I don’t like how they treated me at Target I can go to Best Buy, if I don’t like how my police officer is treating me, I can just ask for another cop & I can’t just walk away, & if their buddies are just there not saying a word when one is a “bad one” then there is NO recourse for me.
Anyways. Idk. It’s a tough issue. In this specific case, tackle the fucking guy. But anyone can be an Monday morning QB.
