Russell Westbrook dropped a season-high 40 PTS along with 10 REB and 5 AST to lead the Houston Rockets to a 122-117 victory over the L.A. Clippers.

Let's go Rockets! Hopefully they play well tonight and beat the young Suns on the road.
I want to see a perfect 4-0 West Coast trip. Wins over the Clippers, Suns, Kings and Warriors.

That 2nd seed in the Western Conference is up for grabs if the Rockets want it.
And if the Lakers drop a few more games the 1st seed is going to come into play.
The Lakers' next 4 games are tough: Nuggets, Clippers, at Trail Blazers, Mavericks.

All the Rockets have to do is keep playing hard. Eric Gordon will return next week and come off the bench.

The Rockets are leading by 11 points, 106-95 after the 3rd quarter. Really crazy and high-scoring game at Phoenix.

If Harden and Westbrook can stay healthy and go 'all out' in the playoffs they have a chance to beat anybody in a series.

James Harden (47 Points) and Russell Westbrook (30 Points) showed their dynamic-duo potential in a road win against the Phoenix Suns.

The Rockets had a 25-point lead but had to hold on to win at Sacramento, 113-104.
Only 16 points in the 4th quarter. Two weeks ago vs. the Kings we also blew a huge lead.
But this time it's a win and not a 1 point loss on a buzzer-beating three by Nemanja Bjelica.

The Rockets will try to win 5 games in a row on Christmas afternoon at Golden State. 4 PM on ABC.

Top 3 seeds in the Western Conference: Lakers 24-6, Nuggets 21-8, Rockets 21-9
5 of those 9 losses the Rockets choked away big leads. And still we're right there!

The Rockets also had back-to-back wins against the Spurs and Clippers in which they trailed by 19 and 15 points at halftime.

I think by season's end the Rockets will be the 1st seed. They'll be more consistent with Eric Gordon returning.
More depth and better three-point shooting. Harden and Westbrook continue to be a 1-2 superstar, MVP duo.

I'm ready for the Rockets vs. Nets game on Saturday night. We've got to put that Christmas meltdown behind us.

In his career with the Rockets, Harden is more likely to score 40+ points than less than 20 points (81) in a game.

I think I got a glimpse of 2023 when the contracts of Harden and Westbrook are no more.
The Rockets will be lottery bound. They actually played hard without their two superstars.
In fact, the Pelicans out-scored us in the 4th quarter, 41-19. It was just a sad night of basketball.

We had a 9-point lead early in the 4th but that disappeared fast during the 41-19 quarter. I'm not okay.
The Pelicans better remember this night when Zion Williamson hits his first free agency and we sign him!

It was tough day of sports for me. The Texans and Rockets were both wrecked by a division rival.
I'm ready for the Texans vs. Bills playoff game on Saturday. Time to focus and no distractions.
