Which they will never capitalize on.
Talk about potential all you want, because after all, it's just potential. It most likely will never become actuality. The mere fact you buy into the trust the process bullshit, all this tanking and rebuilding, one day were going to rule the nba world bullshit, speaks volumes about your intelligence, or therefore lack of.
Based on what? That's the dumbest thing you could say here, "it most likely will never happen" is what you're saying....based on? I wasn't aware you could predict the future. The only thing we can go off is potential, and look at the talent and reports that these players project. There are so many factors, yet you just spew dumb shit like that lol.
Fact of the matter is, most NBA analyst, "experts", scouts, etc. generally agree that the Sixers are in an outstanding situation and COULD take a leap to the next level, very quick. Obviously it's the NBA, there are no guarantees but all you can do as a franchise is set yourselves up to be in the best position possible to lift off. They already have the pieces to do so, when you have prospects like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, both of whom have superstar potential, then you have guys like Dario who balled out as a rookie and lived up to and exceeded his hype, Robert Covington who quietly was a top 20 player in the NBA last season when looking at RPM (and the #1 defensive SF in the league in DRPM), Richaun Holmes (who actually outperformed Noel after he was traded), TLC who is another rookie and was casually putting up 18+ points per game the last month of the season proving to form into a pretty solid two way player by seasons end, etc.
Look at the Timberwolves, with all the top prospects that they have drafted and the big names (Towns, Wiggins, LaVine, etc, etc) and so much potential they finished the season 31-51, despite being a VERY healthy team this season (outside of LaVine going down later in the year) which is just 3 wins better than the god damn 76ers. The same 76ers that didn't have Simmons this season, only had Embiid for like 31 games, had injuries galore, and essentially limped to the end of the season.
It's all about perspective, and the current roster that this team has PLUS the potential for getting TWO top 5 picks in this upcoming 2017 draft, to go with the future draft picks and financial flexibility.....it has us feeling good.
