Green getting low 20's in MPG is pretty much what he gets every year.

Nuggets bench was solid, way better than the 76ers bench that's for sure.

You've already admitted that Bench time basically vanishes in the post season

Jokic played in the playoffs with a shell of what Embiid has been playing with and its not even debateable

Need new sources i guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree. I thought DM, Rice, jackzors, Red Sox, Fgs, Broncos15, and frankieflowaz were solid but turns out their opinions may be slightly biased

IM sorry are we arguing why the MVP of the regular season isn't carrying his team in playoffs?

Without Jokic Denver would be a 16th seed. Thats why he was the regular season MVP.

you guys gotta remember what happens in the playoffs is supposed to have 0. ZERO. impact on who is regular season mvp. thats why Regular season MVP is a useless award and why Finals MVP is the only MVP award that matters.

What good did winning it do for Harden? Still got 4-0d by GSW.. at least Joker got 1 game if we are counting

What good did winning mvp do for Russ? Well.. I mean... Russ is different, regular season MVp is his career goal. but still, you get my point.

Did Philly finish first?

No?

Thats why Embiid wasn't MVP.

btw

how are you supposed to be mvp when you only finish 4th in the East of all places with like 4 max contracts and 2 household nba names

4 max contracts? 3 lol

And two household names? Harden didn't join the team until they were towards the end of the season (almost March) and only played 21 games in the regular season with them. We're going to act like Embiid wasn't anchoring the 76ers at the top of the eastern conference all season prior to that during the Ben Simmons drama shit show?

Also, considering the Bucks, Celtics and 76ers finished the season with identical records and only 2 games back from the Heat....what are we talking about here?

Congratulations to him and Nuggets fans, but it’s clear the NBA Deep State had a hand in this.

First of all, the announcement was made on May 9th, or Victory Day. It is celebrated in the former Soviet Union as well as the Wannabe Russian Republic of Serbia. It’s all connected.

If that isn’t proof enough, Jokić has now won two MVPs, more than Shaquille O’Neal, with the primary arguments for each being:

2020/21: he played more games than Embiid
2021/22: his team is worse than Embiid’s

Neither of those is compelling whatsoever. When both of the arguments for your candidacy are based on technicalities involving your opponent, then it’s clear who the better player is.

If you want to bring up the advanced metrics, those things are biased and unreliable. Known Russian agent Nate Silver and his legion of statsexuals present themselves as authorities on statistical modeling, but we know the truth.

“BUT JOKIC HAS THE BEST CHODE RATING IN HISTORY!“

I don’t care. Assists are weighted double for centers in advanced metrics because they’re of a “higher value” than assists guards from guards. Obviously, this doesn’t account for a center that acts as his team’s primary facilitator. In reality, Jokić is a top talent who should instigate change in these flawed metrics. Funnily enough, I just gave the only valid argument based on advanced stats.

The idea that “high-value” and “low-value” assists exist in these metrics shows how stupid these metrics – and the people that created them – really are.

If you use terms like “ethical basketball” and “aesthetic bias,” you don’t actually like watching basketball. The keyword is WATCH. You know, with your EYES?

In all honesty, I’m okay with Jokić winning MVP. It could’ve been him, Embiid, or Giannis, and I would’ve understood. However, the voting doesn’t reflect a close race between three deserving candidates. Instead, it shows a landslide victory for a guy in the sixth seed because his best teammates were hurt.

Meanwhile, Embiid dealt with a teammate actively undermining him and the organization and still dominated. If anything, that puts the two on an equal playing field in that regard.

Simply put, NBA Awards voters should be embarrassed. First, Ja Morant wins Most Improved Player, and now Jokic runs away with a second MVP.

All the other winners received their hardware during a playoff game. Meanwhile, Jokic will receive his over a Zoom Call. Make it make sense.
