You said yourself that guys from the 90s can’t keep up with the athletes today. So then why can’t these amazing athletes perform dunks that couldn’t have been done by inferior athletes of yesterday?

The best dunkers generally don't participate. They usually have scrubs in there or alternative options. It was nice that JB, one of the best in game dunkers in the league, agreed to do it though.


None of them guys are among the best players in the league though…. Ja maybe when he’s playing but that’s it. The actual “best” players would be pretty trash in a dunk contest

I meant best players and/or best dunkers

They usually have neither. Well, most of the time.

the only modern guy who even holds a candle is Blake Griffin

Remember when everyone was blown away by the VC elbow dunk? Now we've got guys doing it and everyone calling it lame 🤷‍♂️
