A lot of people hate Embiid, and still associate him with "The Process" era, etc. Plus, he was very vocal about his thoughts on MVP voting which rubbed people the wrong way.

Jokic is deserving statistically, the advanced analytic nerds beat their meat to him all day. But Embiid is a more dominant two way player who led the NBA in scoring while being an All-Defense team selection, etc. Plus, Jokic was a 6th seed and was 4-1'd in the FIRST round....


Imagine hearing news of your MVP award in early May and you're in the off-season already rofl.

Embiid would be my third choice

Joker is deserving of the award based on the regular season, but it's hard to ignore what you see in the postseason

I'm not saying Joker isn't deserving, him winning is not a surprise he was the heavy favorite by seasons end.

We all know he's a stat guy and fills the box score and the analytic nerds that don't even watch basketball beat their meat to him daily. However Embiid changes the game in different ways and is more dominant, hence why he tends to get more player support for MVP over Jokic.

It's great to be in an era of the NBA where three big men are your three best players in the league. But unless the league changes their All-NBA formatting, this means Embiid could get screwed and be selected to yet another All-NBA 2nd team despite leading the league in scoring and finishing 2nd in MVP voting again lmfao.
