The Lakers really blew that game. I still can't see the Heat beating the Lakers but now the window of opportunity is wide open. This has become an unexpected finals result to this point but a 4-2 Finals would still go down as not entirely unreasonable on paper. I was thinking that if the Heat could get a second win, it would be in game 6.

Don't hate. It's been the Lakers series to win or lose and nobody sane would've expected the Heat to win the series or to put it in reasonable doubt. If I'm a Lakers fan I'm scratching my head at this point. Sure, AD isn't 100%, but the Heat have been hobbled at two key positions for every game and Jimmy has been having his way for the most part. When you have Lebron and the more balanced overall roster this should be a 4-0 or 4-1 game series. I gave the Heat up to two wins going in because I figured Jimmy would give the Heat a win and that the Lakers would screw up at least one game or have injuries that screw them up. I figured Jimmy's game might come early and that the second win would come late in the series if it came. It did, but I thought it was a game early given how the health of the teams has at least reportedly evolved. The Lakers can look back and see more missed opportunities than the Heat can so far in the series and that's why they aren't champs yet. I think they did a decent job at best on Jimmy in game 5 and that's a big problem.

Can't tell if sarcastic but that's how I was seeing the series. My best bet would've been 4-1 or 4-2 following game 6 and then a Lakers win in game 7. The Lakers choked a bit on game planning and although I don't think the Heat have exactly masterminded their way to two wins, they've done enough to stay alive and Jimmy has taken them to the promised land. The Lakers knew what they were up against and that's why I think they've choked. So far it's just a minor choke to me. But if this stretches to 7 games or if the Heat win the series, it needs to go down as one of the greatest finals upsets of all-time--if not the biggest. This isn't Lebron's best finals squad and the Heat certainly aren't the best opponent he's seen. But I think it's fair to say that if the Lakers were to perform at 90% of their ability and the Heat perform at 100%, the Lakers should sweep. It's a big disparity. Not the biggest in finals history, but it would be the biggest I've witnessed IF the Heat win the series.
