I'm happy if he shoots 20+ shots a night even if he has a horrid shooting night. The problem is when he takes like 12 shots AND has a horrid shooting night. Even if he's ineffecient, as long as he plays aggressively and is looking to score, then I'm happy. He will get better much faster that way, and takes a lot of the load off of Wall's shoulders.
The Wizards really lack a scoring threat besides Wall, so Beal has to step up even if he's not shooting well. They can't rely on Porter or Gortat to put up consistent points, they are more there for the defense and rebounding.
Beal just has to stay healthy and stay aggressive and play at least average defense and I think the Wizards will have a good chance of making the playoffs.
I'm all for him shooting a lot and being aggressive. I love that. I just don't like seeing him jack up stupid mid range shots. He used to do that a lot more early in his career and slowly is getting out of it. I loved seeing him driving in and taking it to the hoop tonight.
If Beal puts up 20+ ppg I think we make the playoffs easily.
