The more the Sixers continue to thrive without him, the worse it gets for him.

If they were struggling right now and clearly showing they missed him it would put pressure on them to make a move. But right now, Morey has no reason to trade that little bitch for a small return when he can just let him sit and rot until the right opportunity comes up (which is bound to happen) as someone will eventually demand a trade or want out of their current team. At some point, as they always do, a team will get desperate to upgrade their team and improve or get younger and you've got a 25 year old All-Star just waiting to be picked up.

It’s been reported that small teams have been scared off of making bigger offers for Simmons because they are aware of the fact he could pull the same shit if they trade for him. Is that really so hard for you to understand? Indiana and Portland made reasonable offers given that fact

If Simmons has proof he is seeing a therapist it’s checkmate. The 76ers could angle for fraud but that’s a very bad look for them and it would be pretty easy for him and Paul to refute with whatever therapists or doctors they’d need to simply pay off

Morey isn't about to just get rid of him just to get rid of him. He's under contract, and they're ready to ride this out. Trading him means 1) He gets what he wants and it's a terrible look for the Sixers AND the NBA in general and 2) The Sixers lose a 25 year old perennial All-Star and get little return.


Sooo chances of them just moving him just to end all of this? Not happening, and the NBA won't allow it either. The players already have too much control in the NBA, and if Simmons got his way here it would shift even more control to the players. Nothing has changed, he's expected to show up and go through the motions or he'll be fined.
