Jordan would never be able to handle the social media era, not a chance.

The media back then got to him, and shit was cupcake status then. Now everyone and their grandmother has access to players and every little thing they do anywhere at any time. All of Jordan's cocaine and gambling addictions would be put on full blast lmao

Without Jordan there would have never been a LeBron. Remember that shit. Jordan changed the game and minds of the world. He influenced everyone who touched a basketball and will continue doing so for generations to come.

"So when I started playing basketball, I was like: 'Oh man, that two-three looks good. I wanna be able to fly like him,'" James said. "'I wanna be able to shoot like him. I wanna be able to dunk on somebody like him. I wanna be able to stick out my tongue like him in the air and yell in somebody's face like MJ.'"

Yeah, that's fine. Nobody is denying the impact Jordan had on the game of basketball.

Iverson had a similar impact, drawing people to the sport that weren't that into it because of his appeal on and off the court.

LeBron by all accounts though, has done more and has remained a better role model for the community in the process. Not to mention there is no history of LeBron doing cocaine or having a gambling addiction.

Jordan's a bitch and a snitch, how are you going to throw your teammates under the bus for doing cocaine in your documentary? Who does that MJ???? Bitch, we all know you did it too you little bald bitter rat.

Uh what? There is like little to no similarity when it comes to Iverson and Jordan. Jordan has a multi million dollar company and his name still comes up in every conversation. Iverson is great but no where near close to MJ in influence.

Lets wait 20 years when they make a documentary on LBJ and we'll see who he throws under the bus. To early to say that bruv. And I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron has been doing anabolics since he has been going so strong for so long. Case in point look at his hair. Dude has had how many hair restoration surgeries and still looks like he's turning 50?

My point being, Iverson changed the game of basketball in many peoples eyes. Ask anyone in their 20's or 30's who is a basketball fan if they weren't a big Iverson fan growing up, I guarantee you most will say absolutely. He helped escalate the NBA to a different level gaining fans all over the world that loved his style of play, especially being a small guy doing things nobody thought imaginable for a player under 6 feet tall (like leading the league in scoring and winning MVP). He was easily one of the most iconic and most recognizable NBA players of all time around the world, easily top 5.

With that said, being an icon isn't enough. Your argument used that for Jordan being the GOAT, but we're talking strictly on court. Jordan's legacy has grown more since he retired, his reputation and name has become bigger than ever and people think he's untouchable or something because of his brand and this crazy reputation he holds. He wanted that Netflix documentary released because he knows god damn well he needs to remind people of who he is and what he did for the new generation, because he knows there is pressure with LeBron racking up the awards and Championships still going as strong as ever at 35 years old.

But yeah, nobody in NBA history is touching LeBron in terms of physical ability combined with talent. The guy is an absolute freak and we may never see a player as big, strong, quick combined with skill and IQ in a very long time. Other guys are equals to him in parts of the game, but nobody is the whole deal like he is.

Interesting.

lebron fan: 'all Wilt did was score'

Me: 'he got 55 rebounds in a game, the all-time record.'

lebron fan: 'Competition back then was terrible'

me: 'the opposing center that game was Bill Russell.'

lebron fan: 'he probably didnt play any defense.'

me: 'wilt averaged 8.8 blocks at the very end of his career when they started tracking blocks. its also believed that he would have averaged a triple double in multiple seasons if blocks were an official stat. '
