Other thread got closed, but we can continue the discussion here. China is awesome so far. My salary isn't that high when you convert to USD but it's living pretty nicely in China. I make about 1500 dollars a month which sounds like nothing, but consider the following: my work pays my rent (which would only be about 250 bucks for a nice apartment). My cable bill is like 3-4 dollars a month, my internet is like 15 dollars a month, power bill is "high" it's like 20-25 dollars a month, water and gas about 5 dollars a month and that's it. So my rent is paid for and 1500- like 50 for bills is basically 1450 left to spend/buy food with. Also food is really cheap, like some random cheap standard Chinese lunch is like 1-2 dollars a solid dinner at a pretty nice restaurant for 2 people is like 10-20 dollars total. Everything is cheap here, so money goes so far. It's easy to save money or just spend a lot on whatever you want like going out and partying or buying cool stuff.

oh and yea my gf is chinese, she's my wife now tho

she was born here then came to USA after college we were together there for like 2-3 years then came to China last October.


he was right tho there are soooo many fine Chinese girls and they fucking LOVE foreigners especially Americans. I can't walk through the mail for more than 5-10 minutes without some chinese mamacita smiling at me and like giggling with her friends. One will get brave and say hello and I'll say hello and their face will turn red and they will all start giggling lol. They're cute as hell. I'd be tearing it up if I didn't already have the coolest most down chick as a wife.

Glad you are still enjoying it buddy. That cheapness seems like the way to go, as long as you stay there. I can see why it would be hard for someone to save enough to move here and be able to afford anything with the prices here. No wonder they often pool together and a few families live in the same house.

yeah if I wanted to save money to come back it wouldn't be the best investment but I plan on being here for a while. The job situation was shit in NC even with a 3.42 GPA from UNC I couldn't find a solid job. Here jobs and opportunity is everywhere.

yeah they came out good, not a huge fan of pork but brotein is brotein
