Embiid has 392 post-up points this season, which is far and away the most in the league. Second most is Jokic at 301 points, followed by Aldridge at 289 points and Anthony Davis at 238 points.
Embiid averages 1.12 points per possession in post-up situations, which is also far and away the most of any qualified player (Jokic is 1.04 and AD is 0.89).
He also gets to the free throw line at a 29% frequency in those situations, which is just about DOUBLE that of anyone else (Jokic is 15.6% and AD is 16.0%).
I know people give him shit for not getting in the post enough, but he posts up more than anyone else in the league, scores more in those situations, gets fouled more in those situations and is without a doubt the best post-up player in the league and it's not even remotely close rofl.
Why would you pair that with a PG who also needs to operate in the paint ?
And then a PF who is a paint/mid range specialist
Makes no sense
