I'm told from a western source @Celtics actually did some research on James Harden to decide if they should pursue a trade discussion... They were strongly advised to keep away. The word on how things slipped apart in Houston didn't paint a lot of people in a very good light.

But would it be a three or four-team trade? I just don't see how Kyrie Irving would have any fun playing for a rebuilding Rockets roster. And like all the other superstars we've discussed in the past few days he also has that 2022 player option built into his current contract. He would just leave us after two seasons anyway. We'd have to trade him just like we'll eventually have to trade Harden and Westbrook. Whether it happens now or next off-season.

The Warriors should offer a future first-round pick for Eric Gordon. He'll make a lot of threes for Steve Kerr and help lessen the loss of Klay Thompson.
