That's crap man. This team hasn't won jack to simply "flip the switch" come playoff time.

I do believe we are MUCH better than how we have performed through the regular season but I hope they aren't going into the playoffs believing that. Especially considering how much better the East is this year. MUCH better.

Gordon Hayward has always been the key to taking this team to the next level and he has been balling for the past 2-3 months. Even more so the past 6-7 games. You can look at the PPG all you want but if you know the Celtics playstyle(I know you do), you should know that doesn't mean anything. I'm so happy he's almost 100% back to form.

But I definitely don't believe we can just flip a switch...

The Pacers will leave everything on the court tonight so the Celtics better treat it like a playoff game

The Pacers have played every game like that since Dipo went down
The Celtics have played like that maybe 10 times this year

I wouldn't be surprised either way, the Celtics have way more talent on paper but the Pacers have played cohesively all year long and you can tell they like each other.

The Celtics play like a team when Marcus Morris and Terry Rozier aren't playing.
There isn't a shot Marcus Morris doesn't like. The moment he touches, you know it's going up. I don't understand how this guy is consistently 3rd in FGA every game. Shit drives me fucking crazy. At least lately Stevens has cut down some of his minutes. Finally!!
Can't deny he's a solid/versatile defender though.

Terry Rozier cannot run the offense. He cannot operate a PnR with a great PnR player in Horford. 35% FG with terrible shot selection is all you get on offense from him.
At least he can rebound and plays above average on-ball defense with the ability to press.

This team will take off the moment these two wake the fuck up.

I know Rozier had a great series against the Bucks last year but can’t remember how he did against the 76ers or the Cavs. In the case of the Bucks our scheme was awful we ranked like 27th in defensive metrics

Rozier was better last year, never turned the ball over and was less selfish.

like Fam Guy said tho, his press-d and his ability to get rebounds for a Guard is above average.

He totally overperformed in the playoffs man. The guy is a 35%/35% chucker.
He played even better against the 76ers because coach Brown also blows. TJ McConnell and JJ Reddick isn't the answer to guarding Rozier either...

Couldn't buy a bucket against the Cavs the moment a great defensive guard with length like George Hill guarded him....

Exactly. He was a team player in the playoffs. He looked to facilitate and protect the ball before looking to score.
This year, he touches the ball and you know he's trying to be Kyrie.
He had such an easy role coming off the bench with a pretty good group of guys(Brown,Baynes,Hayward) but tried to be the best player instead of simply making the right play.

And people say we would be better off w/o Kyrie and Rozier leading the way....ffs

I think the "Scary tery" and drew bledsoe stuff got to Rozier's head honestly. he's a young kid. Tough to blame him but yeah.

The success def got to his head but he should have been able to adjust...like Jaylen Brown did.
Brown was awful at the beginning of the year when Stevens made a change to the starting line-up.
It took Brown some time but he's been fantastic the last 4 months. (49%/46%/49%/50%)
