Tyrese Maxey almost beat out Tyrese Haliburton for #1 in East Guard player votes (133 for Hali, 131 for Maxey). No other East Guard cracked 80 player votes.

Yea except Haliburton is way way better

This isn't about Haliburton vs Maxey though. It just shows how valuable other players see Maxey.

With that said, it's pretty obvious they view the two at similar levels. Even though Halburton is just a modern day Steve Nash with inflated stats and no defense rofl.

Well Maxey is a terrible defender too

Really dumb. Atleast now you can't back pedal now when sixers lose, embid has legit allstar next to him and a championship coach and Tobias is having a solid seaaon

His weakness is that hes shorter for sure. The only time he gets burned is when a much taller defender takes advantage of that at the rim or shooting over him. He's terrific on ball staying in front of defenders and has great hand and eye footwork. Most people acknowledge he's a decent defender these days, far improved from last season.

Haliburton has the size and tools to be great defensively but just flat out sucks on that end. Doesn't really have an excuse. He's Steve Nash level defense.
