well resisting arrest and fleeing the police aren't crimes that carry the death sentence, so.... yeah literally anything

so just let the guy flee from the scene with his kids in the car (and two weapons with him)

maybe the cop should have held onto his shirt while he started the car up, then been dragged by the front door of the car as the criminal fled the scene after escaping arrest

Saint Jacob charged with third degree sexual assault to a child under 16, resisting arrest, fleeing from the scene.... they should just let him go

who is calling him a saint? we're saying he didn't deserve to be shot 7 times in the back by a police officer, enough with your false equivalencies

do you even know the law? what do you think is a prerequisite for an on duty officer to use deadly force?

did the police have knowledge of deadly weapons and have reasonable cause to suspect that the blake was a danger to others? everything i've read does not support that, unless there is new information i am unaware of.

if the above was not the case, there was no justifiable prerequisite to use deadly force. we will see as the investigation continues.

(Graham v. Connor, 490 U.S. 386 (1989).

Courts decide whether an officer’s use of force was unreasonable on a case-by-case basis, taking into account:

the severity of the crime
whether the suspect posed a threat, and
whether the suspect was resisting or attempting to flee

it is made abundantly clear that the suspect was both resisting and attempting to flee

there is a charge for assault on a police officer on his record, how would they not be aware of that?

two weapons are on the investigation report, his knife and gun
