I wonder if Embiid has a position available for a PR manager

What do you think I do for a living?

I mean, what?

Ben Simmons is the real fucking deal. Damn, I have to admit it. The Process worked out.
Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid is a real nice foundation. I'm jelly.

People were afraid to make the comparison before, obviously because that's setting the bar way too high for a guy that hasn't played yet.

But now that there are opposing NBA players comparing him to LeBron, it's accepted more because we can see his style of play is incredibly similar.

One thing is for certain, Ben Simmons start to his NBA career is far better than LeBron's. Of course, LeBron was straight out of High School and Simmons had a year of college, but still.

First eight NBA games:

Ben Simmons: 18.5 PTS, 9.6 REB, 7.9 AST, 1.5 STL, 53% FG

LeBron James: 17.6 PTS, 6.8 REB, 6.6 AST, 1.6 STL, 44% FG

Full year of college and a red shirt year for the Sixers - just like they do with all their draftees

Those are our center pieces, but the 76gods are playing well for many different reasons as well.

For one, Robert Covington is having a breakout year now that he is finally playing in a real offense. All the doubters (i.e. bitg) who said he was an "offensively liability" look fucking retarded now.

Stroking it almost 50% from 3pt (taking 7+ 3's a game). Him & JJ Redick and creating quite the 3pt duo to play around Simmons and Embiid.

76ers with Robert Covington On the court:
65 win pace
112.8 oRTG
102.6 dRTG

76ers with Robert Covington Off the court
6 win pace
92.4 oRTG
111.7 dRTG

Richaun Holmes just came back too, going to spark the second unit and make it even better than it already is.

Once Fultz comes back (healthy) and doesn't shoot like a crackhead it's game on.

Let's be real, Richaun Holmes isn't going to spark anything...

You my friend, clearly didn't watch Richaun Holmes impress last year...especially when Embiid went down, and he became the starting center....

He's starting tonight, so let's see how he does. Probably won't get a ton of minutes coming off his injury and just returning but watch the spark.

Getting Holmes back is pretty huge for the Sixers. He's a huge upgrade over Amir Johnson or Okafor. So being able to bring him off the bench when Embiid is playing is nice, especially since he has chemistry with TJ McConnell already.

SaF7, I'm gonna have to completely disagree with you.

Holmes is certainly one of my binkies, and I can only hope the 76ers treat him like Okafor, so we can snag him lol. Because he's an awesome 4/5 player that has slowly been on the come up.

Quote
Holmes has been a good soldier while the Sixers dealt with a malcontent in Nerlens Noel, the constant injuries to Joel Embiid, and the disappointment of Jahlil Okafor's play. Despite the inconsistency in his playing time, Holmes has been a real spark plug off the bench for this team on both ends of the floor. In 57 games last year, Holmes averaged 9.8 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 55.8 percent from the floor in 20.9 minutes per night. His per 36 numbers numbers are near All-Star level; 16.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks.

Quote
After shooting just 18.2 percent from three-point range in 2015, he improved to knocking down 35.1 percent of his 77 attempts. Holmes is still a relatively unknown commodity from beyond the arc; his limited number of attempts coupled with the strange, sidewinding rotation on his jumper leaves open the likelihood that there could be some regression. But if Holmes can continue to be a consistent threat around the three-point range, it could truly open up his offensive game. As opposing bigs sag into the lane to defend a potential rim run, Holmes could pop out for an above the break three, where 15 of his 27 threes came from. At the very least, he could continue to knock down those straightaway threes as a trailer coming up the floor.

This guy should be the undisputed back up center, and he's an damn good one at that.

He can block shots, recover from being beat even from perimeter scorers, and somehow run back in transition in a flash to tomahawk dunk.

I would even argue that if Holmes, wasn't on the 76ers behind Embiid, Saric or Johnson, that he'd easily be putting up 14/7/1.5 easily.

OK lets hope Richaun Holmes beasts tonight. Need some good competition for Gobert tonight at the center position.

Still debating if I'd rather go watch them in person or from home on TV

If Embiid was playing, I'd definitely be there.
