the average height of a D2 basketball player is like 6'3-6'5

there are like 300+ teams and each team has say 15 players on them

if you're among the top like 8,000 players in the country, you'll land on a D2 team

Man...you're joking, right? Lol I've shared all of this info here so many times over the years. Before mf's weren't trying to dox people and screw with them so openly (not saying you just in general).

How hard is it to believe a 6'8/6'9" kid who started in HS ended up playing JUCO & DII? 😭

Because you get really defensive about it. It's like the people who lie about how much money they make to random on the internet.

Ehh..Academics plays a major part in that. So many guys that fall in that number could play D1/D2 but don't have the grades. Hence why a lot of guys go the JUCO route for 1-2 years to get the grades and then go D1/D2 from there which is what I did. DIII can't give athletic scholarships (JUCO can though), but they still give other scholarships to recruit guys anyway for sports essentially.

College programs will recruit size any day even if the player isn't highly touted. College programs see a 17/18 year old and know they have 4 years to develop them. There are so many smaller college teams where their biggest guy is like 6'5" and they want size even if they're a project player.

Any 6'9 high school kid playing for his school is going to land on a team at the next level. If the coach does his job as well and networks worth college coaches properly it's almost a given even if they aren't good lol.

long time ago I was a bartender and served James Wright, he was one of the main contributors to the 2004-2005 Milwaukee Panthers basketball team that upset Alabama and Boston College that year

the Panthers were as far as I know always a D2 team, but its possible for D2 teams to make it into the March Madness tourney and even have some success

James went to some Spanish speaking league for a few years after that season with UWM shocking people in the March Madness tourney, said he made like 200k a season

I know for sure James was not an academic type, but sometimes they let it slide or give these guys undeserved grades. I remember some of my professors gave A's to guys who never came to class except for the final

Division II schools can't play in the same march madness tournament that everyone watches with only D1 programs. That tournament is strictly D1.

DII has their own tournament, but it's not the same thing with the D1 schools that everyone watches on TV and calls March Madness.
