That knicks team is kinda absurd now. I'm assuming Randle is getting traded eventually here.

Guys. How old is Kevin Durant again? Are the Rockets really trying to land KD?

Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn

The implications of the Rockets landing the Suns' picks? Houston wants to trade for Kevin Durant and that becomes far easier if they can return the Suns' picks that they gave up in the Durant deal to the Nets. Suns have said they're keeping Durant for now, but that could change next season. But now, Houston has the picks to make the Suns whole again.

I've been getting text alerts that the Houston Rockets are after Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler or Paul George.
What the hell? All are old players. We're an exciting young team. Keep building this 41-win team. That's all.

Too much for a tier 3 star. Knicks need to back up the $ truck for OG also

Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn

Rockets possess a pick swap with Suns in 2025, Suns' pick in 2027 and could end up with the Suns' pick in 2029 based on contingencies. If the Suns are ever faced with breaking up team, Houston's also in prime position to pursue a younger Devin Booker. For now, Phoenix is trying to win.

Sigh. So basically the Rockets punted away the 2025 pick swap with the Nets, and the Nets' unprotected first-round pick in 2026.
All because the Houston Rockets want to pounce on acquiring Devin Booker, and possibly KD as well, if the Suns decide to rebuild.

Like WTF? We're banking on a pipe dream when we had a "sure thing" right in front of us. Ballsy move by the Rockets. Just draft Reed Sheppard #3 tomorrow night and I'll be happy. Not sure about that trade with the Nets, acquiring all of those picks from the Suns. I'd rather have the "more likely to be lottery picks" from a shitty Nets team. The Suns will still be good next season and likely in 2027 as well.

Also why do the Rockets want Devin Booker in a few years? We've got Jalen Green who's a rising star. We got a team full of elite young talent.
Be patient. Let that talent grow up and develop. I would've kept the Nets picks. My God. This thing better not backfire on the Rockets. Like wow!

Nets return on KD trade now:

Cam Johnson
Eight unprotected first-round picks
One protected first-round pick
2028 first-round pick swap
2028 unprotected pick swap
Three second-round picks

Damn. That's a lot of assets! Just for the record. The Rockets getting the Suns' 2027 and 2029 first-round picks (both unprotected).
2025 first swap with Suns is also unprotected. But the problem is the Suns will still be very good. Not likely a lottery team just yet.
Unless Devin Booker or Kevin Durant get hurt. Or somehow either superstar becomes unhappy. Think Harden-Kyrie-Durant in Brooklyn.

All these NBA moves, especially what the Houston Rockets are doing, have messed up my mind now.
I just hope they draft Reed "The Swisher" Sheppard 3rd overall tomorrow night. At least give me that!
