aesthetics really make certain players seem significantly better than others. I mean there were many fans who were convinced that Kobe was more valuable than Shaq during their primes. this is based almost entirely on the fact that it is more pleasing to watch Kobe hit a pump fake jab step fade away mid-range shot than it is to watch Shaq bulldoze his way to the rim.

Jokic is a piss poor paint defender, this is well known. He routinely gets attacked and exploited at the rim. Still a great player, and certainly makes up for it on the offensive end, but none the less he isn't anchoring a defense.
