umade, Phil Jackson is going to return as Lakers head coach. Bill Worrell mentioned last night on the Rockets telecast that he was already picking his assistant coaches. But not sure if he'll return this week, next week or in two weeks. Just a matter of time.

In addition to rumblings that the Lakers would try to bring back Brian Shaw (currently an assistant on the Pacers) as an assistant if Jackson is hired, the former Bulls coach would reportedly consider bringing along Scottie Pippen to his staff as well (Mitch Lawrence of the NY Daily News reports)

travel restrictions can obviously be a barrier

but the zenmaster's philosphy has always been preparation.... thats why he has such patience when reeling in a game and he doesnt call timeouts or sub a player out very quick..

but whoever stands in as interim HC while hes not at an away game, they just cant impede on his vision... because a HC ultimately has a lot of power on the sideline, and if hes not there, hes not calling the shots live...

however if he missed 10-20% of away games, i imagine we'd end up with a great record/momentum/cohesion, and he wouldnt be missing any road playoff games. so thats what really matters
