https://streamable.com/y1rbWhat's crazy about Curry is that he goes on like 15-2 personal runs against teams like this, and we aren't even surrpised by it.
We have become so desensitized by his greatness.
And I get shit for saying he's been the best player in the NBA over the past 2 years.
Lebron is arguably the second best player of all-time in my opinion, but it's pretty obvious who has been the best player in the NBA over the past two seasons. It's Curry.
Curry is the best dribbler-shooter of all-time, but that does not make him better than Lebron. Lebron can easily put up 15-2 personal runs but he's a distributor first. I hate Lebron, but he is a completely dominant player. Westbrook is no slouch either.
But if we're talking all-time, I can't in good conscience agree that Lebron is 2nd best. Wilt and MJ are flat-out better, no argument even possible. When you look closely, you see that Magic compares pretty well with Lebron -- and Magic was sort of like Kawhi -- stuck around greatness and not really willing to let his game shine. There have been so many great players. I can see an argument that Lebron is top 5 all-time, or top 10, but there is no way he is better than Wilt or MJ.
On Wilt: just imagine a dude before today's basketball culture, and he was a solid 7'1, 280 lbs, with a wingspan of 7'8" -- greater than Dwight, AD, Shaq -- and much stronger than any of them. It sounds crazy to think that, but he had a triceps pull down of 240 pounds, and and professional bodybuilders said he was stronger than them. He benched 500 lbs. He was also a world class track & field athlete in various events. His vertical was 48-51" during most of his career. He averaged I think 22.9 rebounds per game. He would dominate the sh*t out of the game today. He could easily rack up 100 points in today's game, if called upon.
