Sad day today. Reed sounded exciting. Could have backed up Kessler.

Jazz are pretty deep up front. Would have been interesting seeing Reed try to fight for minutes with Kessler, Collins, Markkanen, Olynyk, and their #9 overall pick in the 2023 draft Taylor Hendricks. Too many guys not enough minutes.

I know they "start" him at the 3 in Utah last year, but he actually played more minutes at PF than any other position last season.

He was 100% a PF or C his first 3-4 seasons in the NBA in Chicago. They start him as a 3 in Utah, but ultimately he plays more as the 4 than he does SF by the numbers.

He's 7'0 240 lbs 🤷‍♂️

He played something like 54% 3, 40% 4 and the rest at the 5. It was mostly 3 last year, even thought marginally. Historically yeah he has been a 4.

Just curious, where did you see that?

I saw him listed at PF like 50% or more of the time last season. Even basketball reference has him listed at PF as his highest %.

He played nothing but PF/C in Chicago his first 3 years, and over 90% there his 4th season. It wasn't until he went to Cleveland that he saw time at the 3.

All the power to him though, he had a great year in Utah. Whatever they're doing its working. He's versatile and can play any front court position really.

Classic dm choosing an argument and looking for stats that back it instead of just going with the actual facts

@TheAthleticNBA: “Jaylen Brown’s camp and the Celtics are starting to make progress on a contract extension, sources tell @JaredWeissNBA.

The two sides are likely moving closer to an agreement over the coming week.“
