The crazy thing is... This is what happens when you force feed Hayward...

Ten of his 12 field goals were assisted... 2 from Smart, 4 from Kyrie, 2 from Rozier, and one each by Theis/Baynes.

When Hayward feels like people want him to score and play make, he can do it. It's just his confidence and not stepping over any 'toes.'

talk about cherry picking. I've watched plenty of Celtics games this year and they DEFINITELY have tried to incorporate Hayward as the #2 star second to only Kyrie touching the ball

90% of the time Hayward has just not been justifying that level of touches / minutes

obviously if he plays like this consistently it would be justified

Yeah no you haven't lol.

They have DEFINITELY not tried to incorporate Hayward as the 2nd star... 8.8 FGA on 25.8 MPG is not incorporating him as your 2nd star, get out of here bro seriously..

If you have watched any Celtics games, you'll know we don't game plan for Hayward on any sets. He literally stands in the corner, and waits for the ball... This time we were passing him the ball, and he took advantage of it.

Touches =/= FGA. If you're not creating separation for a shot or getting to the rim, then you're probably not taking a contested fade away unless its the last resort

The problem with Hayward was that he was NOT getting separation because his first step was sluggish & that was also evidenced by getting beat on the other end

He was standing in the corner doing a lot of nothing, I agree. However this is not the first time Stevens drew up a plan to pass him the ball. In other cases he simply did not take advantage of it and therefore role players ended up taking more shots

well, i'm just going by what i've seen and heard. If you've watched all but 3 games, then you've seen way more than I so i'll take you at your word I guess. Maybe it just seems like he doesn't give max effort because his style is different than Smart or Rozier, who like you mention will play full court d/press, idk. I've heard the media question his effort ever since the all star break.

His effort against Houston was good.

He played harden well when he was guarding him and forced (poor choice of word as harden only has a square button) him to take some really difficult shots. It must have been pretty demoralizing harden making them from everywhere but overall he did well. He played really well on CP3 too.

More concerned with him only taking 11 shots for the game than his efforts on the other end.

I'm about ready to give up on Morris getting over 20 MPG...

Any time he is on the court, he does not ever pass.

Ever.

I have literally seen this guy post up, pound the ball for 5 seconds, and take the toughest fadeaway jumper I have ever seen.

Wow congrats man, Hayward reached double digits scoring for the first time in the last 6 games. He has now raised his average over his last 6 games to 9.3 PPG. MVP!
