LOL many ways to play it out
Especially if you're an elite defensive team
Don't want my team taking that shot unless there's legit no time left
These aren't possible?
A Suns turnover after Warriors make 2x FTs with 4.5-5 seconds left??
A Suns missed FT followed by a heave...not much different than.....A full speed 3 off 1 leg right behind half court with 2 guys closing in on you baiting a shot since they are going to foul
Go ahead and chuck the half courter if you'd like
Not to mention missing the 2nd hoping for a rebound....might be better odds than that 1 legged 3
Just the fact that you agreed with Kerr makes you wrong
The suns weren’t gonna foul until the last moment possible so it would’ve been less time than that. The suns weren’t just gonna let them pass the ball around until the last second for a better shot attempt…
The foul would’ve likely occurred right after the pass you think he shoulda made or right after he got doubled mid court.
The suns are an elite defensive team too. And ofc all those scenarios are possible but counting on a turnover late in a game from a team with Chris Paul on it doesn’t seem ideal. The suns are like 10 games ahead of the whole nba for a reason, they don’t fuck up late in the game often.
In most situations, the team in suns position should go for the intentional foul, as for how the warriors should play it and what are the odds on a Jordan Poole half court shot vs those scenarios, then that’s up to you. I can’t quantify it.
If that’s Steph Curry I’d have him take that all day over the other scenarios and not saying Poole is that guy, but had a pretty solid game yesterday and has the range.
The commentators for that play just made it sound like he did something beyond stupid but it wasn’t a bad play.
