This is my honest opinion, but Hayward is disrupting the chemistry and progress of your young players. I would attach 1 or 2 first rounders to get that guy off the team. The Celtics last year without Hayward was a much better team. I give Kyrie a lot of shit but he is a + player especially when defenses tighten up. I think the issue with Hayward will only get worse (at least for the post season this year) who knows how he could look the next 1-2 seasons.

no shit.

speaking of + at one point in that bulls game we just lost, Kyrie was the only player in the positive for +/-.

can't wait to see ZxFamily_GuyxZ's response to this 🍿

well one of the problems with Kyrie is symptomatic due to his lack of intangibles. Super Star players or #1 options are somewhat expected to be the leader of the team, but also a stylistic approach is considerable. for example Tim Duncan vs Shaq, obviously Duncan is the more supportive leader type of general whereas Shaq is the "get his and the rest will come" type of general. Kyrie falls into the latter category which can breed the same mentality to be adopted by others, which is made clearly self evident when Tatums puts up 9 points on 4/5 shooting then doesn't touch the ball for 10 straight minutes. as I already said part of this problem is trying to force chemistry with Hayward when he hasn't really earned the minutes

that was definitely true early in the season but Idk man. it's very easy to blame our problems on one player like Gordon Hayward (you) or Terry Rozier (GiantTony).

the issue is collective, guys on that team are selfish, so it doesn't begin or end with any one player. a teams identity as a unit is far more important than their collective parts. this is why teams like the 04 Pistons and the 11 Mavericks were overlooked, they didn't wow anybody on paper but they just got it done. right now the Celtics have too many guys who are thinking about themselves rather than whats best for the team, again Tatum going 4/5 and then not touching the ball is self evident of this problem.

Don't compare those teams full of vets to our young core
And benches were TRASH at that time. I mean TRASH

yeah that's probably more accurate. I question the attitude of the younger guys (like Jaylen Brown and Rozier) occasionally. The problem is we have groups of players at different points in their careers, like Kyrie/Horford/Hayward vs Tatum/Brown/Rozier.

Baynes being out for long periods of time isn't helping either, we really miss his defense/rebounding/size.

yeah, i feel ya, I wouldn't be at all if we have home court throughout -_-

We could lose to the bucks or raptors though. we could beat them too. i think it's 50/50 for those teams. we'll smash the 76ers wherever they are a soft team.

I believe those 4 teams can all beat each other,
We clearly aren't hungry game by game like those other teams
That's why these AWFUL up and downtrends continue

Playoffs whole different ballgame though ^^ once playoffs start, effort these boys are lacking won't be an issue at all, finally

I am concerned about Rozier though. Somehow managed 9 shots in 15 min against the Bulls

I'm truly perplexed how you are so confident that by the snap of a finger the Celtics are going to magically become this team that hustles and plays together, all the power to you but there is a lot to be said on chemistry and sustainability going into the playoffs. history speaks for itself in that regard
