He runs the offense but he doesn’t run it well lol. Jayson Tatum is at the helm of the greatest offense of all time. He’s obviously not the floor general that Luka is, but a lot of plays run through him and he creates them with his drive and attack.

Like I said, everyone knows who the better player is.

Doesn't run it well? They're a top 10 offensive unit with a bunch of role players around Luka LOL. Make it make sense man....

Everyone has Luka ahead of Tatum on their player ranking list. Except you, because you're a Celtics homer.

Luka this season in the NBA:

#1 in PPG
#3 in APG
#1 in PER
#1 in RPM
#1 in Win Shares
#2 in VORP
#2 in AST%
#14 in Defensive Rating

*drops mic*

Lol the Celtics have 3 or 4 better players than EVERY teams second best player. Even the 76ers. Unfair comparison.

Lol this is why nobody can take you serious anymore

Nothing about Tatum's season aside his teams record points to best player in the league, right now he’s a clear margin behind Curry and Jokic. Luka has the edge in impact while shouldering a heavier burden, Cs have an elite supporting cast

Tatum
8th in PER (26.2)
33rd in TS (.625)
9th WS/48 (.217)
6th VORP (1.5)
26th On Court +/- (9.1)
58th On-Off +/- (8.3)
4th RAPTOR
4th WAR

Curry
3rd PER (29.7)
6th TS (.691)
3nd WS/48 (.272)
2nd VORP (2.1)
18th On Court +/- (10.3)
1st On-Off +/- (31.2)
2nd RAPTOR (12.8)
1st WAR (5.1)

Jokic
2nd PER (30.4)
5th TS (.696)
1st WS/48 (.291)
3rd VORP (1.7)
7th On Court +/- (12.9)
2nd On-Off +/- (28.5)
1st RAPTOR (14.8)
2nd WAR (4.7)

Doncic
1st PER (31.7)
59th TS (.607)
2nd WS/48 (.273)
1st VORP (2.1)
74th On Court +/- (3.7)
91st On-Off +/- (4.3)
3rd RAPTOR (9.7)
3rd WAR (4.1)

You should perhaps try watching some games rather than just be a basketball-reference slave

The Celtics haven’t played the Warriors yet, but Tatum has obliterated all of these other players

Oh here we go, avoiding the discussion and reverting back to team vs team.

Just take the L and move on.

Is that supposed to change our mind here, or? Telling us the best player on the team with the best record in the NBA is one of the betting favorites for MVP? Shocking, as if that's not how it usually goes when you're on a really good team.

Also...I have news for you LOL. It's Giannis #1 and Luka #2 in MVP odds. With Tatum falling in at #3. Just take this loss like I said, you're not winning this battle rofl. Luka just ahead of Tatum everywhere

Giannis is a better player than Tatum but the MVP award isn’t about that, nor team success really (you can just be a top 4 seed and get it)

Giannis is comfortably behind Jokic and Curry right now. I’d add Luka, SGA, and Tatum given the start

Tatum is 4th and he’ll probably never be in a serious discussion for best player in the league… which is fine because as a Celtics fan the team is everything one could wish for anyways

Also part of the reason Tatum is overvalued for the MVP betting odds is because there are way more Celtics fans than there are Mavericks, Bucks, Nuggets, or Thunder fans… probably more Cs fans than all 4 of those combined

Curry is having a better analytical season than his unanimous MVP year btw, Warriors fans come in close behind Cs fans. But anyways we should keep listening to some guy who picked the Cs as his team because they won a bunch of rings before he was born

I’ll admit giannis is the actual MVP and standout best player in the league.

But as for Tatum being best player in the league, it’s certainly a discussion. Let’s just remember only a year ago you were all laughing at me for suggesting Tatum is a top 10 player. You said barely top 20. He’s rising rapidly and still seems to be getting better and better while improving his weaknesses (shot selection, play making and court vision)

But yes Celtics clearly the best team in the league right now, a Tatum MVP to go with a championship would just be very satisfying with moderately good chances of happening.

If the warriors start winning then maybe curry is in discussion. But great stats that don’t translate to wins has never been a thing for MVP’s. I think only Jokic and Westbrook historical seasons in the last 20 years have won MVP’s from outside the top 3 seeds in their conference?

Cbf fact checking that but it sounds tru. So you can basically cross out Luka, Embiid, and Curry going by past history
