Oh boy

Tide is already turning now that Celtics fans can see JB turning his back on the team, wanting out of Boston. Now he's a fringe top 25 player who was never worth a damn and is expendable rofl.

And now KD is back as a top 3 player when Celtics fans were calling him washed up just a month ago.

100%

At full strength the Bucks are still the best team in the East until proven otherwise. They were much better than expected without Middleton in that series, but he's their #2 go-to guy and clutch crunch time championship closer who gets buckets when they need them. Unless the Celtics get KD, they still aren't better than a healthy Bucks team. They still lack that #1 guy on the big stage.

I’ve never said JB was a top 20 player?
And I never said KD was a top 3 player either?

Don’t just read what other Celtics fans say and come to the conclusion that we all think the same thing.

Bruh lol.. talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

We've literally been reading the same bullshit from you for the past 10+ years regarding (insert Philly franchises' here).

You go back on your word and change the narrative on players whenever they no longer fit your narrative lol

According to ^Nwotmik they weren't triple teaming him like the entire series, it was a bunch of 1v1 rofl.

There was not a single point where he was triple teamed. Idk what family-guy is on about. He was double teamed, not every single possession but it did happen a bit. Tripled? Come on…

Lol maybe I shouldn't say triple teamed since it's going to be taken as 3 defenders guarding him within 3 feet when he has the ball

Yes, the Celtics didn't triple him when he iso'd. No team in the NBA actually triple teams like that

He was hard doubled on almost every drive with the baseline defenders almost always playing free safety to help in the paint anytime he got inside
This was VERY noticeable with Smart

When his attacks came form the elbow, the man guarding the 3 point shooter who was playing up top would basically sit around the FT line incase KD beat his man...just off enough to rotate back up to his man if KD made a late pass

Even the player who was on the opposite elbow 3/corner was playing way off his man because the goal was simply to not let KD beat them

Nets role players shot lights out % because of the gameplan(literally always open) but the Celtics had no problem with that because they knew it was never going to be enough if KD couldn't get his

It was the best help defense I watched the Celtics play since the KG era...and even with that, plays were there for KD to make...but he ain't no Lebron James

JB will never be the guy on a team worth a damn.

Great player and I love him, but he’s a Robin on a championship caliber team at best. Borderline top 25 player, and I cannot see him ever being too 10 or a legit franchise cornerstone.

Hmmm he probably was, but he wasn’t great either. All the defensive pressure was focused toward Tatum, and it allowed JB to get off the leash a bit scoring wise, but he still caused a lot of sloppy turnovers by trying to dribble through players, especially noticeable in 4th quarters when the game was there to be won.

No Celtics player was actually great in that finals series.
