Yes, you aren't the only one that watches them. We've all been watching these games too. You don't seem to comprehend what they did, it's not like Tatum went out there and clamped him up by himself. They literally just put their focus on him even off the ball, as that video breaks down.
Swarming him when he has the ball, and cutting off his path off the ball while face guarding him. The Nets had nobody else to take advantage of that, and their spacing sucked with Drummond and Claxton.
Nobody on the Celtics was ever left on an island. Their entire game plan was to help each other on KD and prevent + swarm in certain spots on the floor. Great coaching knowing damn well KD had to go off for them to win that series.
Wtf
There was plenty of individual 1 on 1 defense. You’re acting like whenever KD touched the ball instantly a double came. That wasn’t the case at all. If he got a deep entry pass within the mid range, OR it was late in the shot clock, then yes, help defense arrived, but there was a lot of isolated one on ones as well.
And Tatum did clamp him down in them 1 on 1 situations, as did every other Celtics player who found themselves in that situation as well.
Nobody else to take advantage of that? Brown, Dragic and Curry were going off in large patches of the series, and Claxton adds outside spacing as we had to respect him at the dunkers spot.
