Durant 2019, Giannis 2021. Really hoping that Giannis doesn't suffer a more serious injury, if he is at all capable of playing I have no doubt he will insist on it, so there honestly isn't a choice to make for the franchise.
From what I've seen Giannis has already been able to put weight on his knee, which is a testimony to his insane recovery ability.
Getting into the matchup. The Bucks had one of the longest losing streaks in sports history in Phoenix, a 24 road game losing streak from Feb. 21, 1987-Jan 17, 2013. That's an astonishing 26 year losing streak, albeit only 1 game a season.
Obviously the current team has nothing to do with those teams losing up until 2013, as none of our players are from that span, but it's still pretty interesting to note.
The Suns feature a lot of very young and inexperienced players at the top of their rotation. Booker, Bridges, Payne, and Ayton remind us of the OKC Thunder that ultimately got swept after a convincing game 1 road win in Miami. It's hard to find any NBA team in Finals history that featured so many young players, let alone won it all.
If Giannis is good to go before/by game 3 then the Bucks will win this series.
