Oh how far we've fallen with the Ben Simmons talks. A 24 year old 3x All-Star, 1x All-NBA, 2x All-Defensive 1st team selection four years into his NBA career. For a 29 year old 8 year vet who has never been an All-Star or All-NBA selection, and is a weaker defender. McCollum would be a good fit though but fuck talk about biting the bullet.

He is a good player.

Injury prone though.

And Morey is probably the one who leaked the trade details and is pushing the value of Simmons setting the bar, letting teams know he's not taking anything in return besides a high impact All-Star even if the Sixers have to sweeten the pot.

I have 1000% faith in Morey, he's truly a brilliant guy and understands these types of trades and how to get the most value in return. There's probably nobody I'd want more handling this situations than him.

I'm pretty sure he's shooting for a big time player in a bigger deal, and doesn't want to just get a "good" player in return. If nothing else he will stay in Philly until next season and be traded before the deadline, it's that simple.

Think of it this way. You don't need Simmons defense. You have thybulle and Embiid. You do need a point guard who isn't afraid to score, who won't sweat bullets at the free throw line
