Here's how all members of the Philadelphia 76ers have fared in TPA (Total Points Added) during the 2019-20 season so far.

Shocker, it's almost like people didn't realize Simmons is a really, really good basketball player šŸ˜‚

Ummm, wut? Lol

He was a no brainer selection, the media had him #3, the players had him #4, and the coaches obviously selected him once he lost out as a starter.

But the dumbass casual "fans" who represent 50% of the starters voting process had him #8 lmao. Goes to show how terrible the voting process still is, and how silly those voters are that dont even watch the game.

So where would the two starting guards face sit on the chart? I’m think it would be very high and very right. Likely off the edge of the chart.

you realize one of the axis is for defensive points saved, right?

edit: what's concerning is our 35mil player adds nothing

Both behind Ben Simmons....

Simmons is #10 in the NBA in TPA, Trae Young is #11 and Kemba Walker is #17.

Obviously the metric is a poor indicator on player performance then because both of them players are far greater than Simmons and the NBA, players and fans agree

Except they're not, they're just more impactful offensively as scorers but not overall.

You see, that's the issue is that ESPN casual fanboys that watch Sports Center highlights think shooting and highlights as a scorer with high PPG totals is what defines a player lol. While it's certainly a big part of the game, it's far from everything. Regardless of what they do in every other aspect of the game, or what they do in the other half of the game playing defense.

Trae and Kemba are defensive liabilities, sure they can put up points and shoot but they give a ton of that right back on the other end (as indicated by the NEGATIVE points saved).
