Jimmy himself publicly stated he didn't want to play there on JJ Reddit's podcast before but eh, whatever helps you sleep at night my man lol
That was the most complete roster y'all had also
Yes, because the Sixers publicly chose Simmons over him which obviously at the time made perfect sense considering Simmons was only in his second season and already an All-Star with a promising future. Butler and Embiid are close, he would have loved to play with Embiid but he wasn't the problem.
Brett Brown and Simmons were boys, and Jimmy disliked or just didn't get along with both of them. Not to mention Jimmy needs the ball in his hands, and playing next to Simmons and Embiid that would never happen, he was literally the 3rd and sometimes 4th option on that team at times (after they traded for Tobias). Then the playoffs rolled around and when Simmons was getting fucked up by Kawhi and couldn't do shit they took the ball and gave it to Jimmy and said PLZ HALP lol.
edit: The team this past season was the most complete. Better depth at key spots including a very good backup C for Embiid (which they desperately lacked the year Butler was there). Less star power without Jimmy obviously, but still better balanced and coached (hence the #1 seed).
