People really setting up high expectations for Jabari Bird, but I personally don't like him. He's speedy, athletic, but his defense is horrible, and I'm not 100% sure how seriously conductive his back injury was related to his poor shooting in G-League.

Must be nice... To no longer have to worry about making the playoffs once again, and going back to hoping lottery ping pong balls actually give your team something worth while. In before you proclaim Sexton/Cedi as the next HoFer's from the Cavs franchise.

The debate is, who is seriously better? Jaylen vs Tatum?

Feel like Tatum gets a lot more love, but I have to think if Jaylen actually improves his dribbling, which judging from his off-season workout sessions with Stevens, it seems feasible... Oh my gawddddd!



Not to mention Jaylen is a better athlete, better defender, and played through a injury that most people actually believed would take him out for the majority of the playoffs. He came in like what, less than 2 weeks?

Tough question, while i agree Brown is a better defender and has better leadership qualities, tatum probably has better offensive potential. I like them both.

Jayson Tatum because his offensive game is quite ahead of Jaylen. Both still have PLENTY of room to grow on both ends of course...Tatum needs to bulk because he got bullied quite a bit on defense.
Jaylen took 40 more 3 pointers than Tatum in the playoffs. Most of his offense comes from transition 3s or scoring off catch and shoot. Tatum actually ran the offense a lot.
Tatum had 52 dimes vs. 26 by Jaylen. He has better court vision, ball handling, finisher with both hands, pnr ability and shot creating ability.
I give Jaylen the edge in fast break offense and shooting contested 3 pointers off the catch.
Brown is obviously more complete on defense, but Tatum is great at contesting shots.

Tatums shot creating and ability to make the pass is the biggest reason I think he'll always be ahead of Brown

high hopes for the season...can't wait to see hayward blend in with that unit

I think I'd take Tatum (just) over Brown. But happy with the both of them going forward as our franchise cornerstones.
