Cool set your precedence and waste a year of Embiids prime. I hope Morey doesn’t get the trade he wants and Simmons rots in LA all season

I just hope Siummons rots, burns, suffers, falls, crashes, breaks a leg, breaks an arm, gets in a tire fire, dies in a plane crash, get hit by a bus.... the list goes on

Trading him for pennies on the dollar isn't going to benefit the Sixers much, so there's nothing to lose.

Plus, like I said before...giving Maxey and other young guys time to play and the opportunity to boost value in the event of a big trade.

you assume that there will be a better deal

Almost inevitable. The prime time to trade is not this time of year, it's during the season when teams are desperate to make changes as buyers or sellers at the deadline.

Either way, it would be horrible for the entire league if Simmons wins and gets what he wants by being traded before the season. Nobody wants to see that.

He actually lives in his LA mansion though....that's like his actual home.

This spot in Philly is just a condo, granted it's a really nice condo at the Ritz-Carlton in center city, but still just a condo.

Kyle Neubeck

After receiving a big fine for missing last night's preseason game, sources say Ben Simmons' representation spoke to the players association and had it reiterated the money could not be recovered, a potential sign that the weight of a holdout is setting in.

Sixers front office just grinning

The general theory does make sense. Most #1 picks join a roster where it all revolves around them, and they have a a year or two to develop their game at the nba level without being under a microscope. But the Sixers situation should be looked at as a positive not a negative. Rich Paul has always been a pessimist.

Crumbling under the weight of expectation. No wonder he went to an irrelevant school like LSU.
