not sure i'd call being a whiney bitch out of character for him ^_^
give credit where credit is due, sixers played lights out for a half and atlanta showed heart in coming back
Oh i'm not saying Atlanta didn't do their thing, they got the momentum in the second half and rolled with it.
But anyone watching the game could see Embiid was struggling physically, big time. Worst half of basketball we've ever seen out of him, he just wasn't able to do anything or get any lift. He was bricking easy layups, his signature fade away jumper had no lift and everything was short. He was also not explosive defensively, he had no energy. I think his knee was bothering him, but who really knows.
Hawks are a good team, especially at home. People sleep on the fact that they were one of the best teams at home this season under Nate McMillan (i believe they only lost 2 games under him as HC). Last night was a MUST win for Atlanta and they played with the urgency you'd expect in front of their fans.
Sixers should stomp them back in Philly, and then game 6 will be another must win (literally this time) for Atlanta. A game 7 is likely, but hopefully for our sake it doesn't come to that. I was really looking forward to Embiid getting rest between this round and next.
