What am I doing guys? I'm a little unhappy and not satisfied the Houston Rockets are 22-11 because prior to beating the Mavericks they had lost two games in a row they should've won. Especially the heartbreaker vs. Minnesota when they let an exciting superstar like Ant-Man hit the game-winning three after blowing a 16-point lead in the final 5 minutes. Having Tari Eason banged up and missing a few games has hurt us lately. Amen Thompson and Tari Eason are both lockdown defenders called "The Terror Twins" and when they're both in the game together they can spark the Rockets to elite defense and hold on to those leads.
They also had another one point loss at Milwaukee earlier in the season that could've been another win. The Bucks (Dame Lillard) hit a game-winning shot after the official missed Giannis' foot clearly out of bounds shortly after the inbound pass which led to the Dame basket. It should've been Rockets ball up 1 point with 20 seconds left. The NBA two-minute report mentioned their obvious mistake the next day. Had the Rockets successfully protested they would've had a decent chance of replaying the final 20 seconds of that game.
So as you can see. I'm not pleased with 22-11 because I feel like the Rockets record should be 24-9 at worse right now.
But if you had told me before the season started the Houston Rockets would get off to a 22-11 start I'd have been excited about that.
A top 3 seed in the Western Conference to end their 5-year long playoff drought. Not needing a Lakers-esque 7 to 10 Play-In Tournament.
Either way it's the 22-11 Rockets hosting the 24-9 Celtics tomorrow night. If the Rockets beat Boston I'll forgive their two losses vs. Minnesota and Milwaukee.
Good luck hopefully Houston smashes Boston
