So here's the thing...Harden can still opt into his player option for next season. It would need to be done in the off-season. In an ideal world, he would do that giving us another season to analyze his fit. Otherwise the Sixers will be in a position to give him a max if they want him to stay.

It's hard to make that call after 21 games. So we would need another season with a full off-season together to really make judgement.

I do think doc gets fired if they lose first round though.

Completely expect Morey to work his magic and move Tobias in the off-season though.

Right if you package him with a player with upside and picks sure --- but then you're basically admitting that this run is over and it's time for a rebuild.

Harden walks away for nothing , or you sign him to a supermax.... neither of which is a good option

You lose Maxey to get rid of Tobias Harris contact....

But then what? Embiid wants to start a rebuild approaching 30 ?

Same thing was said about Horford and his contract was way worse compared to his production and he was far worse as a player lol. Plus Horford had more years remaining.

And Morey got rid of him no problem, which everyone said couldn't happen.

You had to take an overpaid player in return in Danny Green at 16 million ( Philly Re signed him at an 'OK' 10 million )

And give up a first round pick - and some prospects

So you didn't just "get rid of him" - you paid OKC to take him
